Yosemite National Park

This quarter we will begin to learn about Geology; mainly how the Earth has changed in the past, and about the forces that continue to change our planet's landscape. The video below is one of my favorites. Check it out. I suggest you watch it fullscreen with high volume. A bunch of questions pop into my head as I watch it. Do you have any? As you watch the Yosemite National Park video, leave any questions/comments that you have in a blog comment.

  2. <3 that song! Where in Cali? What do you call it when you film over a really long time but fast forward through it? Cause I really like it!!! Now I wanna go there, but the experience wouldn't be the same w/out the music.:D Are the red shoots planes or a ton of shooting stars, because a lot of wishes would come true there. I just love films like this. You know what else we should watch TEDED videos, they're so clue!!!

  3. How do they keep the shot moving but the sky in fast forward? It seems as if the camera is backing up while the rest of the scene is speeding along. How do they know what to capture on film and to show? Why/how do the clouds move so low into the mountains?

  4. Neat music. It looks cool when the speed up the video because it looks like the trees are dancing to music. The water looks so cool and clear. The stars in the night look unreal. The fog in the valley looks awesome. Beautiful sunrise. How tall are those mountains? Pretty boss video.

  6. How does stuff grow on the rocks? It looks like the mountains are dead.
It would awesome to walk up or climb up those mountains.
The footage looks like a commercial that is advertising for people to come visit a state.
    The footage is beautiful!
The stars moving don't look like they are real.
How old are some of the Yosemite trees?
